Project Win’s dream is to create winners. These winners are primarily the charities and good causes who benefit both from our fundraising and the increased awareness that our projects generate for them. We also help our contributors become winners by giving them the chance to win amazing experiences and prizes!
Many charities rely on fundraising from events such sponsored runs or walks, charity balls, concerts and auctions. Whilst these events provide great financial support to many charities, they can be time consuming and costly. They are also becoming increasingly difficult to organise as a result of COVID-19. Project Win can provide quick fundraising opportunities for charities and enable anyone to contribute.
Where did the idea come from?
Tom and Ben’s love for fundraising started when they signed up to run the London Marathon In 2020. They were hoping to raise money for Parkinson’s UK as unfortunately both Tom, and Ben’s Mum Linda, suffer from the disease.
The Marathon was, like so many other important fundraising events, postponed due to COVID-19.This also meant that the fundraising event they had organised at their local sports club was cancelled. They decided they had to come up with a new fundraising plan. This is when they decided to organise a competition on social media for friends and family to donate to their cause with the chance of winning an amazing prize. The fundraiser was a real success, inspiring Tom and Ben to use the prize giving platform they had created to provide help to other charities.
Where do your contributions go?
For each draw we hold up to 100% of net profit is donated to charity or good cause. As we grow, we hope to be able to continually increase our donation percentage, ensuring our many partners are getting as much financial help as we can possibly offer. Any funds raised which are not donated to charity are used to enable us to provide our wonderful contributors with the opportunity to win some amazing experiences and prizes.
How is the draw done fairly?
All of our competition winners are drawn using google random number generator, which automatically selects 4 winners per competition. You will be able to watch the draw live when the competition timer runs out. These 4 winners will all receive Project Win merchandise, and all have a chance of winning the Project’s main prize which will be drawn live on our Facebook using our wheel of fortune!
